Horses are not permitted at the Otway Nordic Centre trails in any season. The one exception is horses are allowed on the Greenway access corridor. The corridor follows the Greenway Summer Trail to the NW Hickory Wing Trail then along the marked PG city boundary line corridor toward Miworth Road. There is no horse access from the Greenway directly to or from the Otway Nordic Centre parking lots

The Greenway Trail is in good summer condition. The trail is quite dry from Otway to Blue Spruce to UNBC. There are some wet spots. Please report any windfalls that require removal. There a few more repairs to complete this summer and will be undertaken soon. The Greenway will be mowed in late summer. Please be aware there is logging activity in the woodlot on Takla Road.

The Back Country Horsemen of BC, Prince George Chapter, have joined the Greenway Society. The organization has been active in the Province since about 1989 with over 900 members in 22 regional chapters.
The activities are mainly in three categories – riding, education, and trail work. All are social activities, with having fun safely as a priority. Chapters have meetings almost every month, and a few other gatherings as well. Members of the local chapter are busy exploring options for new horse access to the Greenway at the northern end, more details to follow.
